CONTRACTS

The Contracts Page lets you view the active contracts for every player on a team (and sign contract extensions, or release players, on your own team).

The upper right portion of the Contracts Page shows important information for managing your payroll and other expenses.

The Contracts Page lists all players on a team (including the minor league system).

The 'Earning' column displays the players current contract (expressed as the player's salary in 'Points' through the last year of the contract).

The 'Seeking' column displays contract extension information for all players in the last year of their contract (for other players, this entry is blank). To sign a player to a contract extension, choose one of the extension options from the drop-down listbox and click the 'Sign' button. You will be responsible for paying the listed salary to this player for the duration of his contract (unless you trade the player, or he retires).

To release a player from your team, click the 'Release' button. You will be required to buy out the player's contract (by immediately paying 50% of all money owed to the player for the remainder of his contract). Every Baseball Mogul contract has an automatic "50% buy out" clause. Releasing a player will prevent you from paying out a player's full contract, and will also lower your total payroll which is useful if you are currently over your Payroll Limit.
