The Financial Screen is accessed through the News Menu.

There's more to baseball than just winning games. The Financesl Screen tracks every team's expenses, income, spending cash, and profits. Unlike the Standings Screen and Leaders Screen, all the teams in the league are shown in alphabetical order. Your team is displayed in bold.

Any team that is "in debt" (has a negative amount of cash) is not allowed to sign players or execute trades that raise the team's payroll. Teams in debt automatically have their medical, scouting and farm system expenses reduced until they climb out of debt. (Once you are out of debt, you must return to the Expenses Page in order to raise your spending levels back to normal).

Negative values for either profit or cash are shown in red. If your team is in debt, you should take immediate action to get your team back "in the black". Similarly, if your profit for the year to date is negative, consider making changes (such as trading away expensive players, or cutting expenses) that will allow your team to at least break even over the long haul.

Note: Financial data applies to the current season, since April 1st. During the season, financial data represents value to date. In the off-season (November through March), financial data will indicate final totals for the most recent season.

Mogul Points
 The first column of this page always shows each team's average Mogul Points. If you have not yet completed the first season, this will be zero for every team.

Customizable Data
The remaining columns are customizable and can be set to any of the following headings:

  • Attendance = The team's average home attendance for this season (in tickets sold).
  • Avg. Age = The average age of a team's roster players.
  • Avg. Contract = The length of the average contract (in years) for each team.
  • Avg. Salary = The average salary of playes on the major league roster.
  • Cash = Your cash on hand (useful for buying out contracts and sweetening trade offers).
  • Expense = Total expenses in the current season to date. Expenses = Payroll + Medical Budget + Scouting Budget + Farm System Budget
  • Fan Loyalty = This number represents your fan loyalty in relation to other teams. It is most significantly affected by your team's on field performance in the last season.
  • Farm System = Current quality of the Farm System. This does not rate the players in the farm system; it is simply an evaluation of the Farm System infrastructure. The only variable that affects this grade is recent farm system spending, relative to other teams.
  • Franchise = The market value of the franchise (this does not include the team's operating cash). This figure is not used in the game.
  • Liquidity = Cash divided by the value of the franchise. This figure is not used in the game.
  • Medical = Current Medical Staff quality. This has some effect on the frequency and duration of injuries. The only variable that affects this grade is recent spending on medical staff, relative to other teams.
  • Payroll = The total salary for all players on the team.
  • Payroll Budg = Projected budget for team payroll, using current Projected Revenue and budgeted expenses. Payroll Budget = Projected Revenue - (Medical Budget + Scouting Budget + Farm System Budget). To increase Payroll Budget, a team can reduce budgeted expenses or try adjusting ticket prices.
  • Pennants = The number of league championship wins you have.
  • Playoffs = The number of times you've reached the playoffs.
  • Profit = The total profit (revenue minus expenses) in the current season.
  • Proj. Expense = Projected team expenses for the current season. At the end of the season, this value should be the same as 'Expenses'.
  • Proj. Revenue = Projected team revenue for the current season. At the end of the season, this value should be the same as 'Revenue'.
  • Proj. Profit = Projected profit for the current season. This equals Projected Revenue minus Projected Expenses. If this value is negative, the team is on pace to lose money and may end up in debt.
  • Revenue = The total revenue in the current season.
  • Series Won = The number of World Championship wins since the league started.
  • Scouting = Current Scouting Staff quality. This affects the accuracy of the team's scouting reports. The only variable that affects this grade is recent spending on scouting, relative to other teams.
  • Ticket Price = Current average ticket price. Use the Tickets Page to change this value for your team.
  • Ticket Sales = Revenue earned from ticket sales in the current season.
